Northeast Retail finds space for Frontera Grill and Rio Bravo

According to Daniel Plotkin, principal at Northeast Retail Leasing & Management Company, the Brambila brothers opened their second Frontera Grill at 214 Huttleston Ave. in April. The family style Mexican restaurant opened in what had been a failed Uno's. "The restaurant has been so busy right off the bat that we had to immediately bring in more staff to handle it," said Edgar Brambila, co-owner and whose chain operates over 20 Mexican restaurants from North Carolina through New England. The Fairhaven restaurant follows a similarly successful opening of Frontera Grill Chicopee Massachusetts at 1625 Memorial Drive. Located just outside Westover Air Force Base the ChicopeeFrontera remains today as busy as it was when it opened in the Spring of 2012. The Brambila's crafted a new concept when they decided to enter Fairfield County of Connecticut with the opening of their first Rio Bravo, an upscale version of Frontera Grill at 770 Commerce Dr. Fairfield, Conn. which opened in the spring of 2013. "We open almost exclusively in former restaurants," said Plotkin who handles the real estate for the chain. The chain recently signed leases for two new Rio Bravo's, one in Westport and the other in Larchmont N.Y., both of which will be open late fall/winter.

This may seem self-serving, and I’ll be the first to admit it. But unlike some of the artificial intelligence tools now reshaping our industry, I am fully aware of my own bias. So, hear me out. The rise of AI in commercial real estate is not a distant threat or a speculative headline.
