O'Donnell joins Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Massachusetts as director of labor relations

Wellesley MA Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Massachusetts said that Brian O'Donnell has joined the association staff as director of labor relations. O'Donnell will be stepping into the role held by Dave Powell, who is retiring after 19 years of service.
O'Donnell was most recently the director of the regulatory and compliance Division of the Office of the Inspector General. For several years prior, he served as assistant attorney general in the Fair Labor Division, resolving public construction contract disputes through the issuance of legal opinions and guidance to public officials, attorneys and business representatives. O'Donnell served with AGC on the Public Construction Commission implementation task force.
And most recently on the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance's Construction Law Working Group. Prior to work in these offices, O'Donnell was in private practice with Gadsby & Hannah in the Design and Construction Group.
O'Donnell will assist AGC members with labor agreement interpretation, jobsite and jurisdictional disputes, mediations and arbitrations; facilitate the negotiations process between the AGC Labor Relations Division and the building trades; and serve as liaison to employers and labor representatives on a daily basis. In addition, he will assist AGC staff in serving members with questions concerning employment law, policies and practices; bonding issues; Workers Compensation; and public construction statutes.
