Press of Press/Cuozzo sells 19 Elm Street in New Haven for $1 million

New Haven, CT Stephen Press, SIOR, co-principal of Press/Cuozzo Commercial Services, has completed the sale of 19 Elm St.  This 9,328 s/f retail building was the former Harold’s Formal Wear, and is set on .54 acre in the heart of New Haven’s central business district with access from both Elm and State Sts.

Press was the sole broker in the transaction, representing the sellers, 19 Elm Street Partnership, LLC, and procured the buyers.  The sale closed at $1 million.

The buyers, MOD Equities, LLC, plan to add four floors to the existing building to create a mixed use five-story building that will contain 46 residential units and 1,200 s/f of retail space.

In another transaction according to Press, exclusive leasing broker for Hamden Center II, 2321 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Newtown Savings Bank has leased 2,373 s/f for its New Haven County commercial lending office.

The commercial lending team will be led by regional director, Mark Candido, Richard Barredo  and Tony Rossley.

Hamden Center II is a five-story, 76,000 s/f, class A suburban office tower offering easy access to I-91, Wilbur Cross Parkway, is 10 minutes to downtown and within walking distance to banks, restaurants and many other services.
