Property management overview presented in online course from IREM

The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has launched "Introduction to Property Management," an interactive, self-paced, online course that provides an in-depth overview of the profession and the attractive and varied career options it offers. Three hours long, and available at the special introductory price of $29.99, the course is designed for diverse audiences including new industry employees, existing property staff, career changers, students and just about anyone considering a career in the field. Much of the course content contains information, observations and personal on-the-job experiences drawn from actual practitioners. Among the specific topics addressed: * Where property managers work, how they fit into the overall real estate industry, and who hires them * The make-up of the property manager's team * The knowledge and skills sets necessary to succeed in the profession * The employment and salary outlook for property managers and how they advance in their careers.
