Putnam Green is a 40 unit, new construction, affordable rental housing development made up of two buildings 625 Putnam Ave. (34 units) and 254 Sidney St. (6 units). Putnam Green has transformed a vacant lab building and brownfield site into healthy, sustainable and affordable housing designed to reach Energy Star Level II and to meet the state of Mass.' Stretch Code for energy efficiency. Through energy-saving strategies, Putnam Green is saving an estimated 80.45 tons (160,900 lbs.) of CO2 each year compared to a conventional building. Project is LEED for Homes Platinum.
