PWC-CT elects new officers and board of directors for 2012-2013

The Professional Women in Construction, Connecticut Chapter (PWC-CT) has elected their new officers and board members for 2012 - 2013.
Zoe Belcher, LG, LEP, president, is a project manager with HRP Associates, Inc. based in Farmington. She holds a B.S. in Geology with an Engineering Specialty and an M.S. in Environmental and Engineering Geosciences, both from Radford University in Virginia. She is a Licensed Environmental Professional in the state of Connecticut and a Licensed Geologist in the state of Washington. In addition to PWC, Belcher is a member of CREW-CT/Real Estate Exchange, Environmental Professionals of Connecticut, and the Association of Engineering and Environmental Geologists. Belcher was one of the PWC-CT "Women on the Rise" recipients in 2010.
Laurann Asklof, vice president, is a principal at the law firm of Gordon, Muir and Foley, LLP in Hartford, focusing on construction law. She received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in 1982 and her law degree from Albany Law School of Union University in 1985. Asklof is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Construction Law Section Executive Committee; and American Bar Association, Construction Law Section.
Jessica Samios, secretary, is the director of business development and an Associate at Fuss & O'Neill EnviroScience, LLC in Manchester.

In addition to serving on the program committee for PWC-CT, she is an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services, the New England Healthcare Engineers' Society, and CREW-CT/Real Estate Exchange (Membership and Blue Ribbon Committees).
Carolyn Kurth, CPA, CFE, CGMA, CCA, treasurer, is the director of Forensic Accounting, Auditing and Consulting at Sheptoff, Reuber & Co., PC. in Glastonbury. She previously served on the board of directors of the National Association of Women in Construction, CT Chapter. Kurth is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the National Association of Construction Auditors.
The board's directors include Kathryn Pappas, Jennifer Buchanon, Roxanne Perugino, LEED AP ID+C, PE, Patricia Bilotto, CPSM, and Melissa Roy.

Kathryn Pappas is assistant vice president/branch manager for Webster Bank in Rocky Hill. She has over 20 years of marketing management and business development experience in professional services. She is a graduate of the American International College in Springfield, MA and holds a B.A. degree in Political Science, Business Administration Management. She has served on the PWC-CT board since 2008 and presently serves as the Scholarship Chair. She is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth in Boston.
Jennifer Buchanon, PE is a geotechnical engineer at Haley & Aldrich, Inc., in Rocky Hill, and has served on the PWC-CT board since 2008. She received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her M.S. in Civil Engineering from Columbia University in the City of New York.
Roxanne Perugino, LEED AP ID+C is a senior project planner with Diversified Project Management in East Hartford. A LEED Accredited Professional (Commercial Interiors & Construction), she holds degrees in Accounting (Northwest Community College) and General Studies (University of Connecticut). Roxanne is currently on the Central CT State Universities advisory board for Construction Management and also served on the Facilities, Personnel & Finance Committee for the Plymouth Board of Education. She is a former member of the Plymouth Board of Education.
Patricia Bilotto, CPSM, is the senior director of marketing for Panolam Industries in Shelton. She has over 30 years of marketing and business development experience in the design and construction industry. She joined the PWC-CT board in 2011 and currently serves as membership chair. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven and is a Certified Professional Services Marketer. She is active in many organizations, including the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), and served as President of the CT Chapter from 1996-1998 and 2003-2005.
Melissa Roy is responsible for project development at Consigli Construction Co., Inc. in Hartford. She joined the board in 2012, having been an active member of PWC-CT since 2005 serving on its Scholarship Committee. Roy is a past director and vice president for the National Association of Women in Construction. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and a certificate in Applied Project Management from Boston University.
