Quincy, MA Related Beal, a fully integrated real estate firm focused on development and investment opportunities in Boston and its surrounding areas, has completed interior renovations of Presidents Place located at 1250 Hancock St. Simultaneously, Related Beal welcomes a new mix of tenants to Presidents Place that includes Barnes and Noble Bookstore, Mass Bay Credit Union, The Townshend, Best of Care, Beacon Clinical Research and Jimmy John’s. These new tenants join Quincy College, Harvard Vanguard and Best Doctors among others at Presidents Place. This blend of office, medical office, educational and retail uses further enhances the dynamic mixed-use environment of Presidents Place, complementing the area’s current revitalization.
Spanning one full block at 350,000 s/f in downtown, Presidents Place is a mixed-use office, retail, institutional and medical office center facing the Quincy Center MBTA Station and future urban common, Adams Green. The property’s downtown location provides access to Rtes. 3 and 3A while offering its tenants immediate access to urban food and retail destinations on Hancock St.
“We saw an opportunity to bring additional value to this best-in-class, mixed-use environment in the heart of a rapidly improving downtown neighborhood,” said Stephen Faber, executive vice president of Related Beal.
“Presidents Place’s tenant mix and active retail ground floor experience is a perfect complement to the public improvements in downtown Quincy, integrating our significant Hancock Street frontage into the new Adam’s Green and providing additional vitality and energy to the downtown core.”
After purchasing Presidents Place in 2012, Related Beal invested significant capital to complete a substantial renovation to the property including the modernization of elevators, common corridors and restrooms, as well as a new lobby and new signage. Related Beal also made improvements to the building’s façade and parking garage.
“We are now focusing our attention on the exterior of the property, and look forward to adding color and redesigning the landscaping and entrance points to celebrate our premier location downtown,” said Mark Giampa Senior Property Manager for Related Beal.
Owned and managed by Related Beal and its partner Boston Andes Capital since 2012, Presidents Place represents Related Beal’s staunch commitment to improving communities through creating mixed-use environments that activate neighborhoods. Related Beal recently renovated Ledgemont Center to become Ledgemont Technology Center in Lexington, Mass., another dynamic property with a mix of tenants outside of Boston.
