Burgers, Shakes & Fries (BSF), will soon be opening its first full service restaurant offering table service in addition to its traditional bar/counter business. The new 2,350 s/f space will be the eatery's second restaurant in Fairfield County, following the success of its original 20-seat Greenwich location.
Jon Sabrowski, principal and executive vice president at RHYS Commercial, was the sole broker involved in the transaction, representing the landlord, 800 Post Road LLC, in the 10-year retail lease deal. BSF expects to open its new restaurant this summer, reflecting a large influx of dining options that have opened recently on this retail corridor despite the economic downturn. Among the new dining choices are Italian eatery Cava Wine Bar, American bistro The Goose, and several chains like Planet Pizza, Tasti-D-Lite and Chipotle Mexican Grill.
"Thanks to its highly visible location on a main thoroughfare in Darien, we received four offers within weeks of this space becoming available," said Sabrowski about restaurant space, which was formerly Bruegger's Bagels. "Coupled with a recent boom in burger popularity, Burgers, Shakes & Fries should see excellent traffic at this prime location."
BSF is the brainchild of Cornell graduate and 15-year hospitality veteran, Kory Wollins, whose mission was to provide his customers with, "great food, great prices and a fun, funky atmosphere."
