This month’s message will be brief, however, I would like to call attention to two topics worthy or recognition.
First, I am proud to report that NHCIBOR has grown to over 600 Realtor and Affiliate members this year. Certainly, the value of membership at NHCIBOR is well recognized.
From our networking events, to our marketing sessions and educational offerings, as well as access to our robust online property database www.NECPE.com, we have something to offer all involved in the CRE community. Thank you to all involved in our various boards and committees, your volunteer efforts are well recognized and are a huge part of the success and growth of our organization. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions at all regarding what we have to offer or visit us at
www.NHCIBOR.com.
Second, I am proud to report that our NHCIBOR Realtor of the Year, Tom Riley, has been recently recognized as the NHAR Realtor of the year! A long time realtor in N.H, Tom has served as the state president and the national treasurer, among a litany of other board and committee posts, while still working a full-time schedule and finding time to commit to a number of philanthropic efforts. No doubt the 14 New Hampshire boards presented very well qualified candidates, each proving their dedication and commitment to the realtor community, but to have one of our own commercial practitioners recognized is outstanding.
Quoting the recent NHAR press release on the topic:
“Tom Riley was more than 3,000 miles away from the Sheraton Harborside in Portsmouth when his name was called in the hotel ballroom as the 2019 New Hampshire Realtor of the Year, but he was quick to respond via text from across the Atlantic.”
“Wow. Such an honor,” Riley typed from Spain at 2:35 a.m. Central European summer time Thursday. “I love the New Hampshire Realtors so much. Thank you all.”
“Riley, the 2010 NHAR president and 2017-18 National Association of Realtors Treasurer, was unable to attend the Wednesday evening ceremony due to a long-since-scheduled, 500-mile European pilgrimage, Camino de Santiago, also known as the Way of Saint James, with his high school sweetheart and wife of 48 years, Diane. But more than 100 of his peers, their family and friends were on hand to celebrate the accomplishments, volunteerism, and civic activities of the 14 local board Realtors of the Year.”
Congratulations Tom, from all of us at NHCIBOR!
Douglas Martin is the 2019 president of NHCIBOR, Bedford, N.H.
