Associated Builders and Contractors of Massachusetts has enjoyed a good relationship with governor Maura Healey. So we were taken aback last month when, at the Massachusetts Building Trades Convention, the governor announced an executive order calling on state agencies to conduct an analysis “to determine whether using a PLA (project labor agreement) is in the best interest of the Commonwealth or agency” for all projects valued at $35 million and above.

Nashua, NH DECCO, Inc. has shared the results of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) National Craft Championships, which were held in Las Vegas. DECCO’s apprentices Dan Wilson and Jon Farr each earned silver medals in their respective categories: pipefitting and GTAW (TIG) pipe welding.

Both are ground up construction. The architect on the project is TK Architects.
Worcester, MA NEI General Contracting has established a partnership with Worcester Technical High School (WTHS) to provide students with real-world training in the construction industry. Since January 2024, NEI has collaborated closely with WTHS faculty and students, creating hands-on learning opportunities that help develop the next generation of construction professionals.
