What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? One of my proudest milestones is seeing the 1201 River St. project-a 63- unit Passive House senior affordable housing development-through key construction phases after stepping in midstream. Without having drawn it, I had to quickly understand its intent and manage a high volume of submittals to keep it on track.
What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? One of the proudest moments in my career so far has been seeing the completion and opening of the Costco store in Sharon, Mass. It was a multi- year project involving a large, multidisciplinary team, and a complex development site that included additional retail and residential components.
What’s one challenge you’ve overcome in your career so far, and what did it teach you? Being a young woman in a position of authority. When I first became a property manager, I was the youngest person on my staff. I had a team of seven reporting to me, including a few older maintenance men. I learned that working hard, proving to them you deserve your position, and a willingness to get my hands dirty was the way to win them over.
What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? I’m most proud of surpassing a top producer in my second year at SR Commercial. It proved that hard work, relationship- building, and trusting your instincts matter just as much as experience. It gave me the confidence to own my seat at the table.
What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? I helped a well- known Connecticut- based pizza restaurant secure its liquor license for a new Seaport location. While small compared to the larger projects we handle at RIW, this one meant a lot to me personally. Growing up in CT, I’ve been a fan of this spot for years.
What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? I’m most proud to be working on the sale of 781 Grove St., the former St. Peter- Marian High School. I grew up nearby, played sports there, and always saw it as a pillar of the community. As one of Worcester’s few Catholic high schools, it’s a meaningful full- circle moment.
What’s one challenge you’ve overcome in your career so far, and what did it teach you? Starting my career as a woman in construction, I faced skepticism in a male- dominated field. Through persistence, technical skill, and relationship- building, I’ve earned trust and respect as a superintendent.
