Shawmut honored by Wentworth Institute of Technology

June 17, 2009 - Construction Design & Engineering
Shawmut Design and Construction was recognized as a "distinguished employer" by Wentworth Institute of Technology due to its long and mutually-beneficial relationship with the school. The award was given for extensive efforts in recruiting graduates and alumni of Wentworth, guest speaking and mentoring efforts, and the large number of co-ops regularly hired. Additionally, Shawmut was cited for the "above and beyond" efforts taken this year to help some of Wentworth's co-op students who were unable to find a co-op position due to the tough economic conditions in the architectural, construction and engineering fields.
In addition, Shawmut has taken similar steps with Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, another school that offers degrees in architecture, engineering and construction management.
