Sheskey Architects selected to master plan, design 175,000 s/f Hingham Tech 3 office park

Sheskey Architects has been selected to master plan and design Hingham Technology Park 3, a new first-class office development to be built on a 9 acre parcel near the intersection of Rte. 3 and Derby St. This is the second time in a decade that a major new office development project is being planned for Hingham. Robert Spenlinhauer of RJS Realty Trust said Sheskey's track record on behalf of many high-profile clients and their comprehensive understanding of the issues involved in each project. Sheskey Architects' hprojects have included Quincy City Hall, Eastern Nazarene College's Library, the South Shore YMCA Aquatics Center, Network Plus, and Quincy Mutual Fire Insurance Co. The exclusive broker who is marketing the build-to-suit space is Richard McKinnon, director of brokerage services for The Grossman Companies, Inc. McKinnon said that a large user will have the opportunity to reserve building naming rights. Sheskey's concept plans for HT 3 call for construction of up to two LEED Certified first-class office buildings flanked by parking garages and ground level parking. While the conceptual design for the full-build office park and garages would require razing the existing building, under an alternative plan the owner would consider renovating and leasing the existing 61,000 s/f building. For many years that building has been home to the South Shore Educational Collaborative (SSEC), and is being marketed to educational institutions. HT 3 has over 1,100 lineal feet of frontage on the highway plus highway signage and is across the road from Derby St. Shoppes.
