SIOR NE Chapter holds Back To Business September event

Boston, MA The SIOR New England Chapter held its first fall event on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at the Bostonia Public House. The event was held in a private reserved room at the Bostonia that attracted between 30-40 sponsors, members and a BC real estate student. The event was labeled “Back to Business” that allowed the SIOR New England members to reconnect with fellow SIOR members, industry colleagues and chapter sponsors for an evening of networking and conversation. Chapter members also spoke with Boston College real estate student Lauren Bellucci who attended as a guest to learn more about the commercial real estate industry. Boston College has started a minor for its undergrads and a number of SIOR members attended BC and were helpful interacting with her.

The SIOR Chapter president George Paskalis welcomed the crowd and thanked the sponsors for their support and attendance. Paskalis then introduced John Weaver of McLane Middleton who was the main sponsor. He spoke about his firm as legal advisors on real estate transactions and how his firm can assist SIOR members and their clients. Other sponsors during the event also gave brief updates and insights on the current status of the industry.

The event went from 4:30pm to 6:30m and there were a number of conversations about the marketplace and trends in the industry and economy. Many of the members were discussing transactions that they were in the middle of negotiating and catching up on new connections.

There were also discussions about attending the upcoming October global SIOR convention in NYC. Many members plan to attend this event and spoke about the merits of deal opportunities with other members. It was a relaxed opportunity to bring the SIOR New England community back together and kick off the fall season.

We want to thank McLane Middleton for speaking and sponsoring this event in addition to our other sponsors: ARCO, Dacon, Vantage Builders, Boulos Co., Conn Kavanaugh, C P M Currie, RJ Kelly, 128CRE, Avison Young, Colliers, Eastport, Erland, Marcus Partners, MG Commercial, Partridge Snow & Hahn and Vision 3.
