SIOR NE Chapter members well attended at Louisville fall conference

Louisville, KY The New England SIOR chapter had a great turnout for the November fall conference from November 4-7, 2025. The chapter had between 15 and 20 of its members attend the four-day session. The Global conference was held at the Omni Louisville with an off-site visit to Churchill Downs and the Louisville Slugger’s Museum. The SIOR conference attracted the top-producing commercial real estate brokers from US, S. America and Europe. It was more than just networking, it was an opportunity to forge powerful relationships and position members for even greater success.

The conference had a number of concurrent sessions and social events. Some examples included:

Expanding a Business Lead Ecosystem Tenant Rep Breakout Session

The session unveiled what separates top-producing brokers from the rest. SIOR legends Tripp Guin, Michael Connor, and Walter Robinson pulled back the curtain on the lead-generation ecosystems that fuel their success. In this candid, high-impact panel, members learned how these powerhouse brokers identify high-value prospects, leverage networks for consistent deal flow, and deploy systems that create predictability in their pipeline. Members left with proven strategies that can be applied immediately to elevate their game. These are battle-tested approaches from reps operating at the highest level — brought to life with real-world stories, lessons learned, and practical takeaways.

Innovative Ideas That Move the Needle: 10 Brokers. 10 Tools. 10X Ideas

This was a high-octane, dealmakers’ session as the 10 top brokers took the stage to share the real-world ideas, processes, and tech solutions that were transforming their businesses and driving revenue. They shared actionable strategies that an SIOR can adapt for his/her own success. This session offered attendees with 10 powerful, field-tested ideas to put into action.

The Opening General Session is with Danny Fontaine called “Pitch Perfect: How to Captivate and Convince Any Audience.” Fontaine is a master of persuasion, creativity, and connection. As a coach to global teams pitching billion-dollar deals and host of the Pitch Masters podcast, Fontaine brought a bold new perspective on how to communicate with purpose and impact. In this engaging and unconventional session, based on his book Pitch, Fontaine unpacked the psychology of influence, the power of storytelling, and why your next pitch — whether to a client, a board, or your team — should feel more like an experience than a presentation. He stated that two factors can influence a client: first focusing on emotions and then information. The emotional connection with a prospect is first to tell the heart that they want to do business with you. The second factor is to then deliver information so that the brain is in agreement with the heart. He went into ways that this can be accomplished.

All In: Building Elite Teams Through Resilience, Accountability & Purpose with Brent Gleeson — Navy SEAL combat veteran, award-winning entrepreneur, and bestselling author—as he shared powerful lessons from the battlefield and the boardroom on how to build high-performance teams. Gleeson worked at Trammel Crow prior to joining the SEALS and six months prior to 9/11. He said that two factors are important, having a narrow focus and prioritizing. To be successful, you should continue on the following:

1. Continue to be a leader in yourself

2. Continue to build teams that have high trust in each other

3. Continue to nurture rapid learning and continue growing.

Despite any setbacks, you must commit to moving forward. He said that as a SEAL during basic training, each person had to say that they would not quit, they would preserve in adversity, they would never get out of the fight and if knocked down, you always get up and thrive in adversity. The SEALs are taught on day one that you have to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. You need to push goal posts back to continue to move forward. Gleeson showed a video of clips of the five weeks of basic training including Hell Week. Each day was hell and they are told that the only easy day was yesterday. Out of 250 candidates to be a SEAL, only 20 survive the five weeks. He stated that high performance teams have to demand discipline and expect innovation. But you need trust in each team member and accountability.

The spring conference will be in Palm Desert on April 14-16, 2026.

This may seem self-serving, and I’ll be the first to admit it. But unlike some of the artificial intelligence tools now reshaping our industry, I am fully aware of my own bias. So, hear me out. The rise of AI in commercial real estate is not a distant threat or a speculative headline.
