Skanska USA's Boston office participated at the Cradles to Crayons, Ready for School campaign that took place on Friday, August 12. The campaign equips local disadvantaged school-aged children with brand new backpacks full of school supplies as well as the clothes, shoes, books, and other basic essentials they need to feel successful and be able to thrive in the classroom and at home.
In this economy, many families are still struggling to support their families and many parents, who are forced to work multiple jobs, do not have the appropriate amount of time to provide their children with support and resources for their studies.
Programs such as Cradles for Crayons provide the city's vulnerable population with a reason to believe in success, and it is extremely important to Skanska as a company to invest in our community and its future, ensuring that students have a strong start to their school year.
Skanska USA is a committed member of the philanthropic community. Skanska's Boston office participates in various altruistic organizations, including Rebuilding Together Boston, The United Way, the Private Industry Council, Toys for Tots as well as Save the Harbor/Save the Bay.
