Suffolk Healthcare fits out new Fenway Health at 1340 Boylston St.

According to Suffolk Healthcare, it has completed the fit-out of Fenway Health's new home at 1340 Boylston St. in the Fenway neighborhood. The 100,000 s/f facility includes examination rooms, treatment facilities, therapy rooms, a street-level retail pharmacy, state-of-the-art auditorium and conference center, and office space. Suffolk Healthcare closely coordinated efforts with the Suffolk-led project team that was managing construction of the 1330 Boylston St. base building. The two Suffolk project teams were able to successfully plan a seamless transition from core and shell to interior fit-out, resulting in a successful delivery of the new healthcare space. The 10-story facility is believed to be one of the largest ever constructed by an organization that has a specific mission to serve the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, along with the broader community at large. The new building has allowed Fenway Health to expand its medical, behavioral health, and research departments and pharmacy, and to add family dentistry and eye care to its list of services. In addition, Fenway's Women's Health program has its own dedicated space on the building's third floor. Anshen & Allen served as architect for the interior space of 1340 Boylston St., and Elkus Manfredi Architects designed the base building. Celebrating more than 25 years of transforming city skylines, Suffolk Construction Company, Inc., is one of the leading privately held building contracting firms in the country, with main offices on the East Coast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and West Coast regions of the country.
