Boston, MA Old Corner Christmas, a holiday-themed gift and Boston souvenir store, has leased space in the historic Old Corner Bookstore complex owned and operated by Historic Boston Inc., the active preservation nonprofit organization, in Downtown Crossing. Old Corner Christmas is owned and operated by New York-based N&F Global Corporation and will occupy 1,245 s/f on the ground floor of 11 School St., on the Freedom Trail. 

York, ME Saint Thomas, LLC purchased 317 U.S. Rte. One from MCG Warren, LLC for $3.825 million. Built in 2022, the property consists of two newly-constructed, freestanding retail buildings totaling 10,717 s/f, leased to O’Reilly Auto Parts and Sherwin Williams. The deal closed on June 5.

Dennis, MA Three former Sundae School summer employees have put together a partnership to purchase both Sundae School Homemade Ice Cream locations in Dennisport and Harwich Port on Cape Cod. As teenagers, Michelle White, Michael Kelly and Robert DeMarco worked summers together at Sundae School.

Wareham, MA Barnes & Noble is opening a new bookstore location. The location showcases the highly lauded bookstore design seen in the most recent Barnes & Noble store openings. The new Barnes & Noble is located at 2421 Cranberry Hwy., in the Wareham Crossing shopping center, across from Yankee Candle and Cape Cod Coffee.

Leominster, MA MassDevelopment has provided a $1.25 million loan to Bisousweet Confections, LLC to renovate and buy equipment for its new facility at 554 Willard St., where the company relocated in October 2022. The 20,000 s/f facility is four times the size of its previous location in Shirley, providing needed space for the company to expand operations amid a tripling of sales between 2019 and 2022.

Seabrook, NH DeStefano & Associates, Inc. (DAI) has begun the construction of a ground up 900 s/f Aroma Joe’s at 270 Lafayette Rd. TK Architects is the architect. Anticipated completion is December 2023.

Hingham, MA - Drybar Shops, the premier blowout and styling brand, is opening one of its newest locations and its first on the South Shore at Derby Street Shops. The new location is set to open its doors this fall.  Drybar is known for providing the ultimate blowout experience, offering a range of signature styles, from classic and sleek to beachy and tousled.

Boston, MA Trader Joe’s has secured approval from the Boston Licensing Board to sell alcohol at its upcoming new store at 500 Boylston St. in Back Bay. The new store will be half a mile from the company’s existing location in the neighborhood. The chain has received a building permit for plumbing work for retail space.
