CPA Paul Dion recently opened an office located at 580 Thames St. The new office opened for business on January 1. "Even though our primary office is based in Millbury, Mass., it is close enough to Rhode Island that we have worked with a number of Ocean State businesses over the years," said Dion, who also owns a home in Middletown. "With the growth of our Rhode Island book of business, plus me living there most of the time, it just made sense to open a formal office here."
For more than 20 years, Dion has provided tax preparation and tax planning services to both individuals and small to mid-size business-a client list totaling more than 800. He also has more than 25 years experience managing financial operations of several multimillion dollar companies ranging from $5 million to $100 million in sales.
During the course of his career, Dion has identified profit improvements and cost savings totaling more than $4 million. Firms Dion has worked with over the years include paper makers, high tech electronics, capital equipment manufacturers, and consulting firms providing services to the pharmaceutical industry.
Dion has also authored three books—The Ten Most Expensive Tax Mistakes...that cost Real Estate Agents Thousands, The Ten Most Expensive Tax Mistakes...that cost Dentists Thousands and The Ten Most Expensive Tax Mistakes...that cost Chiropractors Thousands.
Dion received a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from Northeastern University and an MBA from Babson College. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and has been awarded a Bronze star for Valor, Purple Heart and a second Bronze star for Meritorious Service.
