The 2020 AEC Leadership Conference

October 16, 2020 - Connecticut

Think back to pivotal moments in your life and career. How many of those involved leadership? Whether by taking action yourself, accepting an invitation or responding to a decision, a large percentage of our significant moments are influenced by leadership roles and styles. We know that leadership is not limited to offices, organizations, and boardrooms. We know it is more than corner offices and annual reports. We can recognize good leaders when we see them, but how did they get there?

The truth is that it takes more than one person to instill a culture of leadership. And it takes a village to develop future leaders. This is why the Construction Institute has gathered a diverse group of innovators from different professions, generations and organizational structures in a collaboration aimed at advancing our industry. Matt Reiniger, Associate Partner at Fathom and a speaker at this year’s event, shares his perspective: “The CI Leadership conference transcends AEC industry expertise—it’s a space for leaders to reflect, reassess and refine the way they show up to and for others, and how that makes it possible to push the industry forward in new ways.”

The 2020 AEC Leadership Conference focuses on how to lead during times of change, disruption, and uncertainty. It leverages our collective strengths and experiences to elevate the group as a whole. It is about knowledge sharing in an open-source framework that invites thought leaders, practice leaders, entrepreneurs and young professionals to the table. Through keynotes, panel discussions, workshops and breakout sessions, the program is both informative and applicable – providing opportunities to learn key takeaways from experts and build road maps to take back to our own organizations.

We invite you to explore the program further by visiting our website at construction.org. You’ll find speaker biographies and presentation descriptions, in addition to information from our sponsors and details on how to receive continuing education for your attendance. We hope you can join us for this virtual event on Thursday, November 12, 2020! To learn more, or to reach out with any questions, please contact us using the form on our website! We look forward to seeing you there to continue the conversation around leadership in our industry!
