The Richmond Group completes several new laboratory renovation and construction projects

The Richmond Group(Richmond), a planning and construction management company specializing in the planning, program management, and construction of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, clean tech and clean room facilities, has recently completed several new laboratory renovation and construction projects. Chosen for its expertise in the design and construction of specialized facilities, Richmond oversaw projects for leading research companies including Momenta Pharmaceuticals, H3 Biomedicine, Agios, and Avila Therapeutics. In Cambridge, Richmond managed several renovation projects. Richmond is overseeing the renovation of Momenta Pharmaceuticals' existing labs and offices, including construction of tissue culture labs, a reception area and several additional offices. For H3 Biomedicine Richmond is constructing its new research space located at 300 Technology Sq. Agios initially selected Richmond to evaluate site and building options and prepare conceptual budgeting and scheduling for different expansion plans. After choosing to remain in its 38 Sidney St. location, Richmond was hired as the design/builder to oversee a 38,000 s/f expansion. In Bedford, Richmond completed a project for Avila Therapeutics. After selecting Richmond to assist with space planning and identifying a new, larger location, Avila moved to a new space at 45 Wiggins Ave. Richmond performed laboratory upgrades and modifications, as well as improvements to interior office finishes inside the 20,000 s/f facility. "We share in the excitement of our clients' plans to grow and invest in Massachusetts' robust biotechnology community," said Steve Carbonneau, president of Richmond.
