Boston, MA Boston residents recently came together for the 2nd Annual Cruz C.A.R.E.S. Walkathon, walking nearly two miles through Franklin Park to raise awareness and funds to support youth summer jobs in Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan.

“We were thrilled to see the community come out to support this cause for a second year,” said Justin Cruz, director of Cruz Management, which sponsored the event. “We want to create as many youth job opportunities as we can this summer, and this event helps us make that possible.”

The Walkathon, which took place on Saturday June 3, helped raise funds for the Cruz Youth Summer Works program. The program offers summer jobs to youth from Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan and skills programs like resume writing, leadership, and job training.
