Thru the Lens: JM Coull wins second consecutive ABC National Safety Excellence Pinnacle Award

JM Coull president Andy Coull accepts the 2018 ABC National Safety Excellence Pinnacle Award.

Maynard, MA According to JM Coull (JMC), they have accepted its 2018 Pinnacle Safety Award, which is the highest level attainable under ABC’s national safety recognition program. In order to qualify for this honor, firms must have achieved a 2018 ABC Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) Award at the Diamond, Platinum, or Gold level. JMC was qualified at the Diamond level (the firm has achieved Diamond status every year for the last eight years). Firms were honored during ABC’s Workforce Week 2018 in Long Beach, CA.

General contractors seeking Pinnacle-level awards must demonstrate exceptional safety performance and world-class leadership commitment to safety, foster a culture of safety that is embraced by all company employees, and implement procedures to mitigate hazards before they occur. JMC was the only general contractor from Mass. to win the award in its category (categories based on recorded work hours).

“Safety, particularly in this industry, is absolutely critical,” said JMC executive vice president Chris Oldham. “On job sites, especially those where a lot of people are coming and going each day, there are unfortunately many scenarios where things have the potential to go wrong. That’s why JMC has dedicated the resources over the years to establishing and reinforcing a strong safety program and maintaining a company culture focused on safety. Our goal each day is to get everyone home safe to their families. This award is a testament to our entire team’s commitment to ensuring that happens.”
