Vacca of Conway Commercial brokers $485,000 sale of 15,000 s/f building

Tony Vacca of Conway Commercial recently brokered the sale of the Robbins Furniture Store at 217 Centre Ave. The sale price was $485,000. The family-owned furniture company had sold its wares to generations of customers since the early 1950s. Vacca represented the seller and procured the buyer, Robert Norris, founder and owner of Piano Mill, a South Shore piano sales, service and restoration business. The company will move its retail store in Hanover and its industrial location in Hanson to the new 15,000 s/f building. Norris plans to make good use of the additional space in his new building. "We will expand our lessons program to include not only piano, but guitar, violin, horn and voice," he said. "And we will build a performance hall for recitals and professional concerts." Pianos for sale at the Piano Mill range from fully rebuilt vintage Steinways, Baldwins and other brands to inexpensive pre-owned instruments for beginning students. "We hope Rob has a thriving business at his new Rockland site," said Vacca. "It was a pleasure to do business with him and with the owners of Robbins Furniture." "Piano Mill is a collaboration of technicians, tuners, teachers and pianists, all of whom share a common passion for the piano," said Norris, who started his family-owned business in 1986. "We offer retail sales of pre-owned, rebuilt and new pianos, full restoration of fine vintage pianos, moving, tuning and repair services, purchasing and lessons."
