Electric Vehicle Charging Station

Beginning this past year, the Griffin Electric service division, under the direction of service division manager Gary Mosca, has added Electric Vehicle Charging Station installation to its resumé of services. Partnering with California-based manufacturer/ distributor AeroVironment, Inc., the Service team has been qualified to install, test and trouble-shoot their plug-in stations, EV Solutions, in commercial settings in addition to training its corporate users.
The compact, weather-proof electric car charging stations are customized dependent on a consumer's use. Customization considerations include: the number of cars to be charged at a time; how much power is to be utilized; the ability to accept credit card or key fob swipes; or installation of a printer for receipts. Griffin Electric's installations have consisted of wiring the vehicle charging stations, in addition to a new electrical panel to provide power for the plug-in stations, and installation of the charging stations, connected to wiring that was previously roughed-in by another party.
Two area Nissan dealerships have already utilized Griffin Electric for installation of these EV Solutions. The service division is expecting future installations of these stations at additional auto dealerships, with a progression into corporate parking lot installations.
