Westport, CT Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate (SCRE) has leased space to Local To Market . Founded this year by Chris Marcocci, Local To Market is a new Connecticut-based food and beverage market, “popping up” this month at 177 Main St.

SCRE brokers, Penny Wickey and Laure Aubuchon, represented both the owners of 177 Main St. and Local To Market in this transaction.

Marcocci has held numerous positions in the grocery and media industries and is excited to bring his locally sourced new concept to his hometown.

Chris developed Local To Market after working with small, start-up and emerging Connecticut based food and beverage companies who required a dedicated retail store to bring their products to market.  In addition to food, produce and beverage products, Local To Market will carry an assortment of non-food and craft artisan items.  Chris feels confident that Westport was the right choice for his maiden market as the town is centrally located, has a reputation for innovations and consumers who care about the quality, source, and sustainability of the food they eat.
