Wilson Butler Architects promotes four senior associates to principals
Boston, MA Wilson Butler Architects has prompted four senior associates to principals. The new principals reflect the firm’s diverse expertise in the design of unique, one of a kind experiences for our clients.
Robert Levash, AIA, has been promoted to principal. Levash has more than 15 years of experience with expertise in a broad range of projects, including educational facilities, galleries, theaters and performing arts centers. Most recently, he completed work on the Worcester Pop-Up Gallery, a collaboration between the Worcester Cultural Coalition, the Hanover Theater and the Worcester Business Development Corp. to bring creativity to life through rotating art exhibitions in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts.
Ben Marcionek, LEED AP, has been promoted to principal. Marcionek has 14 years of design and project management experience across a multitude of project types. His most notable projects include the award-winning Huizenga Pavilion at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and overseeing the master planning and design of some of the most iconic spaces on Celebrity Edge, the first in a new class of luxury cruise ships.
Rebecca Durante, NCIDQ, IIDA, LEED AP, has been promoted to principal. Durante has more than 10 years of experience and leads the interior design studio. Her leadership has resulted in a core group of talented interior designers who participate in a growing number of the firm’s projects. Among her most notable projects are the Altria Theater in Richmond, VA and the Merrimack Repertory Theatre in Lowell, Mass.
Paul Vaivoda, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to principal. With more than 30 years of experience, Vaivoda has practiced within a number of markets, with special emphasis on the arts and higher education student life. At WBA, he has played key roles in several of the firm’s most recent higher education projects, including Auburn University’s Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center in Alabama and the Tyler Hall Choral Practice Room at the State University of New York, Oswego.
