2019 Women Who Build: Eleana Lynch, The S/L/A/M Collaborative

February 15, 2019 - Connecticut

Name: Eleana Lynch

Position: Senior Associate, Interior Designer

Company: The S/L/A/M Collaborative

How many years have you been in your current field? 12

Who are three women – living or dead – that you would like to have drinks with and why? Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lopez and my maternal grandmother, Rosa Mori. I’d ask the First Lady what it was like to put aside her career to help her husband pursue his political dreams. Jennifer, I’d love to bond with her about being a mom of twins. I’m sure she has some epic twin stories like I do. I never knew my grandmother, but I would want to hear what it felt like to give up the only life she knew in Peru, to create a better one for her family here in the U.S.

What are you doing differently in 2019 that has had a positive impact on your career? I became a WELL accredited professional in 2018 with the intent of promoting the WELL Building Standard to help advance the health and well-being of the people who work, live and learn in the buildings we design. Since the start of the year, I’ve already seen an interest from clients and peers to know more about WELL and how I can help them move towards a healthier built environment.
