Anna Maria College's new, all-purpose artificial turf field, AMCat Field, was recognized as a winner in the Single Field category by the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) awards committee.
Warner Larson, Inc., the company that installed the field is being acknowledged for its work on the AMC project. The award will be presented to a representative of Warner Larson, Inc., at the ASBA Annual Technical Meeting scheduled for December in Vedra Beach, Florida.
AMCat Field was installed in 2009 in time for the kick-off of the first football game ever to be played at Anna Maria College. In addition to football, the all-purpose field is used by other varsity sports at AMC including soccer, field hockey and lacrosse.
