BOMA Boston update: January events recap and February programs

Boston, MA On Thursday, January 24, over 100 members gathered for the Greater Boston Real Estate Board’s (GBREB) installation of officers, where J. Scott Rickards, vice president of property management, Lincoln Property Co. was sworn in to his role as 2019 BOMA Boston president. Erika Clarke, vice president- commercial property management, National Development (2012 BOMA president) the 2019 GBREB chair took the oath of office and presided over the meeting, swearing in 5 division presidents.

On Tuesday, January 15, BOMA hosted a round-table on “Excellence in Property Management.” The program was moderated by 2019 BOMA Boston president Rickards. The participating panelists are all local 2018 TOBY & Industry Award Winners: Dan Koehler, senior real estate manager, CBRE; Aashish Patel, property manager, Oxford Properties Group and Jennifer Ruiz, general manager, JLL.  

On Friday, January 25, over 60 members and guests hit the slopes at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire for the Annual BOMA Ski Trip, sponsored by BELFOR Property Restoration.

Designed for mid-career real estate professionals looking to grow their leadership skills and develop strategic, critical thinking skills, BOMA is pleased to present a Leadership Conference led by Orange Grove Consulting. This half-day program which will be held on Tuesday, February 5, will include a Strategic Shifts Workshop from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., followed by a Connection Lab Cocktail Party ending at 7:00 p.m. 

Join BOMA Boston for a February Networking Nite which will be held on Wednesday, February 27 at The White Bull Tavern, 1 Union St. The event will be held from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. and is free for BOMA members. 

On Thursday, March 14 BOMA Boston will hold their Annual Benefit supporting BOMA’s Charitable Partner – Bridge Over Troubled Waters. The event will be held at the UMASS Club at One Beacon St. from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Join members and guests for great industry networking, food and drink, raffle prizes and an exciting fundraising activity while supporting a great cause!
