Hartford, CT According to Mark Nisbett, Haworth and Environments at Work (EAW), they are is opening a new Haworth office furniture dealership, People Places and Spaces (PPS).

Nisbett will be leveraging his 25 years of experience in real estate and facilities on the client side to increase efficiencies and reduce execution time while enhancing the customer experience. Haworth is one of the top furniture manufacturers in the world providing complete adaptable environments–furniture, demountable walls and access flooring–enabling workplace flexibility. 

With Haworth as PPS’s primary manufacturer-partner, both organizations seek to establish a strong presence and commitment to Connecticut. “Haworth is pleased to have Mark Nisbett as a partner in Connecticut. Environments at Work, a Boston-based firm which specializes in office furniture and related services with its subsidiary, Integrated Interiors delivering interior furnishings and architectural product solutions, will provide back office and infrastructure support to People Places and Spaces. EAW has been awarded Haworth’s esteemed “Best in Class” designation for the past 5-years. The designation recognizes Haworth dealers that perform in the top 10% nationally based on a rigorous best business practices and client satisfaction evaluation.

As majority owner, Nisbett intends to file and apply for Minority Business Enterprise certification status. Owner-operated, PPS’ mission is to become a trusted partner to its customers, building an impeccable reputation based on strong relationships, corporate values, credibility, superior performance and personalization. With an emphasis on forming long-term relationships, PPS will operate with each client’s best interest in mind, tailoring solutions by focusing on the client’s unique culture, brand, business drivers, and taking a knowledge-based design approach to each project. 

“In spending over 25 years in the real estate and facilities arena for organizations such as Cigna, Webster Bank, RPW Group, Altria (Philip Morris) and Weil Gotshal Manges (with the last 15 in Connecticut), many of those years were spent working with the top 5 major furniture manufacturers and dealers delivering solid workplace solutions. The objective in our constant changing industry is to bring the client-side experience to the table helping imagine and create flexible workplace ecosystems that meet the needs of multi-generational workforces”, said Nisbett.

Nisbett is a Connecticut resident with a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of developing strong client and industry partnerships. He maintains an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to the community that align with Haworth’s company mission and values – volunteering at Junior Achievement, United Way and Pathways to Technology. Additionally, Nisbett intends to bring a minority ownership presence to the state, helping to present opportunities for corporations in this arena. 

Also, Nisbett is currently chairman of the board of directors of CoreNet Global CT/Westchester Chapter where he continues to demonstrate leadership while cultivating valuable relationships and trust within the local real estate industry and community.

There are plans to open a Hartford, Connecticut office and showroom space. A location has not yet been selected.
