2022 Ones to Watch: Ugo DiBiase, CFA, Director, Investments & Finanace at DiBiase Homes

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Successfully winning a Gold Prism Award for “Best Mixed-Use Community” for the successful redevelopment, build out, and sell out of a transit-oriented mixed-use project called The Postmark in downtown Reading, Mass. Our team acquired, permitted, developed, and sold 50 residential condominiums and three commercial units all within and around a historical building originally constructed in 1918. Also, winning a Gold NAHB award for “Best 55+ Attached Home” at the NAHB Best of 55+ Housing Awards hosted by NAHB at the 2022 Orlando International Builder Show for our active adult townhome project called Blu Haven located in Middleton, Mass.

What led you to your current profession? After gaining valuable private investment knowledge in the wealth management industry, I pivoted my career to follow my passion for real estate investments and joined our growing, third-generation family-owned real estate development business. Now, as the director of investments & finance at DiBiase Homes, I am able to dovetail my analytical and academic background in engineering and finance to help plan, develop, and build tangible ground-up residential and mix use real estate communities.

What are the top 3 items on your bucket list?

  1. Fly on a private plane
  2. Playing golf at Augusta National
  3. Traveling to the Maldives

What are you doing when you aren’t working? Golfing, traveling, spending time with family, especially our newborn son.
