As an attorney that drafts complex partnership agreements, I’d have to say the best book for my career is the US Tax Code and Regulations! For tax credit information, Novogradac’s “Tax Credit Tuesday” podcasts are not to be missed.

Best advice for new leaders in 10 words or less 

Ask lots of questions, but also listen to your gut.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? 

Real estate ventures sometimes need to be restructured. Owners may want to leave the venture, or new equity financing may be needed. A venture with special tax attributes, such as tax credits, or opportunity zone benefits, can be quite challenging to restructure without losing those special tax credits or benefits. It is very fulfilling to successfully advise a client on ways to restructure ventures without losing any special tax credits and benefits.
