AIA selects international fund for Animal Welfare for COTE Top Ten Green Projects Award

October 22, 2010 - Green Buildings

Congratulations to IFAW (the International Fund for Animal Welfare) for being selected by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and its Committee on the Environment for the COTE Top Ten Green Projects award.
This award celebrates projects that successfully integrate architecture, natural systems and technology and addresses the entire environmental footprint of the project. The Green Roundtable / NEXUS was proud to be the sustainability/LEED consultant on the project.
From the outset, the founders of IFAW rejected the notion that the interests of humans and animals were separate, instead embracing the understanding that the future of animals on Earth are inextricably linked to our own. IFAW is now joined by some two million contributors worldwide who make it possible for them to engage communities, government leaders, and like-minded organizations around the world and achieve lasting solutions to pressing animal welfare and conservation challenges.
