Asmar joins UGL Unicco as VP of operations and facility maintenance

According to UGL Unicco, a subsidiary of United Group Limited (UGL), Paul Asmar joined the company as vice president operations and facilities management. In this newly created position, Asmar is responsible for setting strategy and developing new programs to provide comprehensive management, operations and facilities services for large commercial accounts in the Northeast. He also will develop a facilities management operations team to deliver the managed account strategies and execute account plans for key clients. Asmar reports to vice president, operations, northeast region, John Correia, who said, "Paul is an important addition to the organization. His ability to conceive and construct high-value-added management and service packages will enable us to create new offerings tailored to our customers' specific needs that will extend our current portfolio of services." Asmar is an experienced facilities management executive who served most recently as vice president, national operations at EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. where he was responsible for managing and executing the facility maintenance operations of a portfolio of accounts for a wide range of clientele totaling over $160 million across 165 contracts. He set strategies, maintained and nurtured strategic customer relationships, managed operations and was responsible for the contract and financial aspects of account management. Previously, he held operations responsibilities as area client service manager for Johnson Controls Inc. where he managed account portfolios and staff to deliver operations and maintenance services throughout the greater Boston area. . Asmar also served as project manager for the Commonwealth of Mass. division of capital planning and operations. Asmar holds a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from Boston University. He is a lecturer for the Arizona State University Facilities Management Development Program and is a member of facilities management organizations, including CoreNet, the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He lives in Westwood, Mass.
