Associated Subcontractors of Mass. has mapped out an exciting program lineup for 2025 built on the success of 2024 - by Jim Welch

January has come and gone, and we are entering the beginning of the end of winter in New England. The days will be getting longer, and soon, spring will begin to show signs of arrival.

Here at ASM, we have mapped out an exciting program lineup for 2025 built on the success of 2024. We will offer members many of the programs we are well known for, such as Safety Roundtables and our Lunch and Learn series. We will also provide more networking opportunities and our new “CYA” seminars to help share important information with our members to help them navigate contracts, insurance, and other essential aspects of doing business in the construction industry.

Our first Safety Roundtable for 2025 was held at JM Electrical training facility in Woburn on the topic of “Making Sense of OSHA Recordkeeping Requirements.” Thank you to our friends at JM Electrical for hosting and providing lunch for the attendees and to Cassidy Clairmont from Construction Risk Management for speaking.

On February 26, a Lunch & Learn Webinar is scheduled with Acadia Insurance to provide information on the insurance program offered as a benefit to ASM members. The Acadia Insurance program is one of the premier benefits ASM delivers to our members.

On March 11, we will be hosting an in-person seminar with a presentation by DCAMM on their certification/decertification process and evaluation process. This will be an essential program for anyone who currently does or is planning to work on public construction projects.

In April, ASM will once again host our Night at the Celtics event, which our Young Professionals host. This event sells out quickly, so watch for registration information.

It is shaping into an exciting 2025 at ASM with great programming and networking events. As always, we will continue to advocate for our members and all subcontractors doing the essential work of building Massachusetts. For information about joining ASM or for general inquiries, please email us at mail@associatedsubs.com.

Jim Welch is the CEO/executive director of the Associated Subcontractors of Mass., Boston.
