Big Y Foods, Inc. has three new appointments

Big Y Foods, Inc. has the following new appointments: John Pazahanick as vice president of real estate and development, Richard Bossie as director of operations, and Steve Nordstrom as district director for Big Y's central zone. As Big Y's vice president for real estate and development, Pazahanick is responsible for managing all aspects of the facilities management and real estate divisions. He succeeds Frank Horacek who will be retiring in 2012, and he reports to William White, CFO. As director of operations, Richard Bossie will be responsible for the daily operations of all Big Y 61 stores including their World Class Markets, supermarkets, Fresh Acres Specialty Market and Table and Vine, wine and liquor supermarket. Included in his area will be directing the execution of sales initiatives, staffing, store conditions, customer service, expense control and profitability for the chain. He reports to William Hogan, vice president operations. Steve Nordstrom has been appointed to district director where he will oversee daily operations for Big Y's Central Zone by supporting company programs and policies.
