BOMA Boston hosts Golf Cup Tournament on July 11 at Pine Hills

Boston, MA On Monday, July 11, over 250 golfers participated in this year’s BOMA Golf Cup Tournament at Pine Hills Country Club in Plymouth, Mass. Tournament participants enjoyed a full day of golf with great food, networking, and prizes. Ice cream sundaes were provided by Ben & Jerry’s for a cool summer treat on the course.  Additionally, there were 2 hospitality tents sponsored by Pierce Property Services and United Services of America. Also featured in this year’s tournament was a hole-in-one contest, which allowed guests the chance to win a brand new BMW worth more than $40,000. At the conclusion of the tournament, a large crowd gathered around the clubhouse putting green for a chance to win a prize in this year’s putting contest. The tournament, sponsored by C&W Services, is one of BOMA’s signature events and a must attend event!

The BOMA Boston Engineering Committee and members ventured to Boston University on Friday, July 22 for a Tech Talk and Tour focused on Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems. The Tech Talk was led by Chris Oullette, area manager – commercial, for Mitsubishi Electric US. Following Oullette’s technical presentation, a back-of-the-house tour was organized for attendees to see the VRF Systems installed in the Boston University Admissions Building and roof.

BOMA Boston is pleased to announce the 2016 BOMA TOBY & Industry Awards Call for Entries are now open! Each year, the TOBY & Industry Awards recognize the best and brightest in property management, building operations, and service in the real estate industry. There are 16 categories for The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) awards, and 9 categories for the Industry Awards. Since the TOBY’s are a nationally recognized award, the local winners move on to regional competition, and hopefully International competition. Winners at the local level receive visibility at the awards dinner, BOMA Boston website, and local trade publications. Deadline for all nominations and building entries: Monday, September 12. The winners will be announced at the annual TOBY & Industry Awards at the Boston Marriott Copley Place on Tuesday, November 15.
