BOMA Boston update: Springfest, June Roundtable, Fishing Tournament & BOMI Classes

Boston, MA On May 18th, BOMA held its annual Springfest at 401 Park Dr. The event was sponsored by BOMA’s affiliate members and was a fantastic night of networking between supplier and industry companies, provides a unique networking reception with over 300 commercial real estate professionals. Springfest was a great night to bring BOMA members together and kick off the summer schedule of events! 

BOMI: Environmental Health & Safety Issues kicked off on June 6th and is being held virtually Tuesdays & Thursdays June 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29, July 11 and 13. Environmental Health and Safety Issues presents best practices for developing and managing an effective environmental health and safety program. Students will learn about the regulatory process and how it affects facilities, how to conduct site assessments, analyze risk, and cooperate with compliance audits.

The June BOMA Roundtable, a Case Study on PO Square will take place on June 14th at One Post Office Sq. from noon to 1:30pm. This case study will discuss how companies can turn to amenities and other offerings to assist with tenant retention. Registration is open for both BOMA members and non-members. On June 16th, BOMA Boston members will head out to sea for the Annual BOMA Fishing Tournament. Around 100 BOMA members and guests will set out from Liberty Wharf to enjoy a few hours of fishing, led by experienced boat captains. Afterwards, attendees will enjoy a reception at Tony C’s in the Seaport along with raffle prizes and see who caught the most fish! Thank you to our tournament sponsor, Stanley Elevator!

BOMA Boston Golf is sold out! The Annual Golf Tournament is being held on Monday, July 10th at Pinehills Golf Club. BOMA members and guests will again take over both the Jones and Nicklaus courses for a round of 18, plus a putting contest and longest drive competitions! Just under 300 golfers will compete for the titles of first place on each course. Thank you to our platinum sponsor, C&W Services!

The BOMA Cambridge Crossing Walking Tour will take place on Tuesday, July 18th at Divco-
West Offices, 181 Morgan Ave., Cambridge from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Registration is open for both BOMA members and non-members. BOMA members can register through the BOMA portal and non-members can email Allison Silva (asilva@gbreb.com).

BOMI: Leasing and Marketing for Property Managers is a resource and how-to guide for property managers who have been assigned the additional responsibility of leasing. The course covers everything from working with owners and prospective tenants, to creating marketing and leasing plans, to writing the actual lease. You will be provided with websites, techniques, and valuable resources to smooth your transition from property manager to leasing agent. This accelerated course starts on July 18, 20, 25, 27 from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Three Center Plaza, Mezzanine, Boston, and will be taught by, Barry Familetto, Stetson Management & Development.
