Chapman Construction hires Shwom as director of preconstruction

Aaron Shwom

Newton, MA Chapman Construction has hired Aaron Shwom as its first-ever director of preconstruction. Shwom comes to Chapman after holding similar roles with Consigli Construction Co., Inc. and John Moriarty & Associates.

With Shwom, Chapman now has a dedicated preconstruction expert who can provide strategic oversight to the project management teams, creating consistency from concept to completion.

Shwom is also uniquely able to apply his background to the business development pipeline which helps both Chapman’s leadership and its clients rough out projects while in the conceptual stages to determine the best path to success. This approach creates value for prospective clients by determining if the proposed budget is feasible for the desired scope before going too far down the project development path. If Chapman can help building owners navigate potential pitfalls in the early stages of a planned project, it saves the client time and money due to a reduction in potential cost overruns and greater schedule consistency.

“I am excited to join a company that has maintained a steadfast commitment to serving its clients with the same team from start to finish. This approach provides our clients with real-time market data so they make more informed decisions - including assessing opportunities for improving the outcome of a project, even when it’s still on the drawing board,” said Shwom. “My focus will be on enhancing the incredible value Chapman delivers to its clients and giving our teams the data they need to operate with greater precision and accuracy.”
