Best New Workplace (<50K sf)
Interaction Associates, Inc.
Boston, MA
Interaction Associates is a 40-year innovator in advanced methods for developing "facilitative leaders", and has a not-for-profit sister organization, the Interaction Institute for Social Change (IISC). Together they relocated to 11,460 square feet in a former warehouse building in Boston's Seaport Center. Working in "real-time" in 3-D with both companies, Margulies Perruzzi Architects (MPA) produced a design that was uniquely suited to these firms' non-traditional workplace requirements. MPA had to ensure that the concept for the new office provided multiple formats for discussion and involvement, and supported the creativity and "out-of-the-box" thinking that is critical to change-management consultants. The resultant design offers a variety of flexible workspace solutions while simultaneously showcasing the collaborative work styles of both companies to their clients.
