EnviroVantage honored by ABC NH/VT for Phillips Exeter project

EnviroVantage was a winner in the Associated Builders and Contractors NH/VT Chapter's 2010 Excellence in Construction Awards Ceremony at the Capitol Center for the Arts. The program, which highlights the contributions contractors make to our society and recognizes the "best of the best" in the construction industry, honored EnviroVantage with important recognition. EnviroVantage won in the Institutional/Public under $2 million category for their work on the central heating plant - Phase 1 Project at Phillips Exeter Academy. Phillips Exeter decided it was time for a change due to the waste of economic resources by continuously pouring money into keeping their inefficient line of boilers running. EnviroVantage abated thousands of linear feet of asbestos before beginning the demolition of all the old boilers. Once the old boilers were removed, new, more efficient boilers were installed. This greatly increases the steam production efficiency of the heating plant, saves time and money, and eliminates the unnecessary risks to the employees working in the plant. The award winners were determined through an extensive process by the judges, based on execution of design, craftsmanship, attention to detail, safety, and other considerations. "The Boiler Plant project presented many challenges, but our dedicated team was able to overcome them and turn it into a success" says EnviroVantage President Scott Knightly. "We are extremely honored to receive this award, and would like to congratulate all this year's winners for demonstrating excellence in the construction industry."
