Equity Industrial Partners and Dacon complete 180,000 s/f NorthEast Electrical Distributors' headquarters/distribution center

NorthEast Electrical Distributors, Inc. (NEED), a division of Sonepar USA, Equity Industrial Partners Corp., Dacon Corp., and Diversified Project Management, Inc. recently completed a 180,000 s/f renovation project at 560 Oak St. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday, August 20, 2010, with town officials, NEED associates, and the project team to celebrate the opening of NEED's New England headquarters and distribution center. Donald Block, NEED's president, congratulated the team for completing the project on time. He thanked attending city officials for their cooperation in permitting and welcoming NEED to the city. NEED will occupy 180,000 s/f of this 441,000 s/f multi-tenant building. This space consists of 25,000 s/f of office space, training center, and cafeteria. The warehouse was completely renovated with a new sprinkler system, new lighting, upgrade or replacement of 17 loading docks, newly sealed concrete slab, painted walls, roof deck and columns, and renovation to the existing warehouse's shipping and receiving office area. A new rubber membrane roof was installed in the warehouse area. NEED is a private company wholesaler of electric equipment and supplies. Equity Industrial Partners Corp. is a locally-based developer of industrial properties with millions of square feet nationwide under ownership. Dacon Corp. is a Natick, Mass. based, 25-year-old design/build firm. Dacon recently completed two additional warehouse renovation projects for Equity Industrial Partners and ING Clarion Partners at 90 Salem Rd., Billerica for two tenants relocating and expanding into 325,000 s/f. Diversified Project Management, Inc. represented NEED's project interest during the construction. CB Richard Ellis' Steve Clancy was the broker on the project. Bruce Levine negotiated the leasing on behalf of Equity Industrial Partners.
