ESC president and CEO LaFreniere appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s New England Advisory Council

Burlington, MA According to Electrical Supply Center, president and CEO Larry LaFreniere has been appointed to the New England Advisory Council (NEAC).

The NEAC is convened by Boston Fed president and CEO Eric Rosengren and includes senior leaders of small- to mid-sized businesses throughout New England. Members advise the bank about underlying economic trends as viewed through the prisms of their companies and industries.

“I am honored to join the New England Advisory Council and bring my professional development experience to the organization,” said LaFreniere. “The pandemic has brought unique challenges to businesses and the economy in Massachusetts but with challenges comes opportunities for growth and change. I look forward to working with NEAC to support Massachusetts’ businesses identify opportunities going forward.”

Freniere holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Worchester Polytechnic Institute. He is active in the Boston community, serving as a Trustee for Wentworth Institute of Technology and extending internship opportunities to current Wentworth students. In 2015, Larry was elected to the Board of Overseers of Boston Children’s Hospital. He also serves on the President’s Council at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center.
