Fairlane Properties handles 6,300 s/f lease

Michael Grill and Hillary Brown of Fairlane Properties represented the landlord, Fairlane Columbia, LLC, in the leasing of 6,300 s/f to four tenants at 1035 Cambridge St. Three new tenants included Genasun, LLC, an advanced energy systems company represented by Debra Stevens of The Stevens Group, College Year in Athens, Inc., a study abroad program, and Digital Loom, Inc., a web design and development company represented by Adam Brinch of CB Richard Ellis. The fourth space is an expansion of Geek Offices into Suite 3. Geek Offices provides coworking office space to entrepreneurial companies, allowing companies to locate in flexible work spaces with flexible time commitments. Geek Offices now occupies 6,000 square feet at 1035 Cambridge St. and is home to thirteen companies. Grill said, "We're thrilled that technology companies are continuing to move to 1035 Cambridge St. With the addition of Gensun and Digital Loom, as well as our Geek Offices companies, over 20 technology firms now call 1035 Cambridge Street their home. We are equally thrilled with the dramatic increase in interest from prospective tenants prompted by our recent space reconfigurations to accommodate smaller users. When we created five new smaller office spaces, three leased immediately. Two suites of 2,066 s/f and 1,420 s/f are still available. We are responding to this increase in demand from tenants by continuing to divide larger spaces and are now creating four new tenant spaces ranging from 1,700 s/f to 2,400 s/f on the 2nd floor of 1035." In addition to leasing properties owned by affiliates of Fairlane, including 1035 Cambridge St. in Cambridge and Chapel Business Center in Newton, Grill and Hillary Brown of Fairlane Properties serve as landlord representative to owners of office buildings and also as tenant representative to tenants in the Greater Boston area.
