Garden Communities continues work on Newton Crossing development

Newton, MA Construction is progressing at a steady pace with exterior finishing underway at Newton Crossing, according to developer Garden Communities. Upon completion, the new, mixed-use community will introduce 292 luxury rental apartments and lifestyle amenities, along with 8,000 s/f of retail, one-half mile from the West Newton commuter rail station.

Located at 1165 Washington St., Newton Crossing is on track for initial marketing and leasing this spring.

“Newton Crossing is quickly moving from vision to reality – it’s incredibly rewarding to see this development come together,” said Garden Communities’ Eli Pechthold, managing director. “With its impressive amenities, ultra-convenient location and well-appointed apartments, Newton Crossing is designed to offer a lifestyle experience that appeals to renters across a range of demographics.”

Comprised of three architecturally distinct mixed-use buildings, Newton Crossing features studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Large, loft-like windows bring in natural light, creating bright spaces throughout each apartment. All buildings feature private balconies and terraces; select one-bedroom layouts include dens.

Among Newton Crossing’s attributes are a variety of conveniences and community spaces – including an on-site lifestyle concierge, amenity-filled lobbies, a game room with billiards, conference rooms, flex lounge areas, a fitness center, a golf simulator, a private courtyard and a rooftop terrace. Residents will also benefit from garage parking with EV charging stations.

The community’s pedestrian-friendly location – moments from shops, services and restaurants – adds to its appeal. Newton Crossing is proximate to the Mass. Pike and one block from a Trader Joe’s supermarket.

Residents will enjoy easy access to Cheesecake Brook via pedestrian walkways.
