Grill and Brown of Fairlane Properties complete 6,317 s/f lease

Fairlane Properties, Inc. completed the leasing of 6,317 s/f at 1035 Cambridge St. to education company Amplify Learning, formerly The Writers' Express and a division of Wireless Generation. Amplify Learning joins a wide variety of companies at 1035 Cambridge St. in Inman Sq. With this transaction, 1035 Cambridge St. is 95% leased. Mark Winters, executive director, and Juliette Reiter, senior director, both of Cushman & Wakefield of Massachusetts, represented Amplify Learning. Michael Grill and Hillary Brown of Fairlane Properties represented the landlord, Fairlane Columbia, LLC. Amplify Learning is expanding from another location farther east on Cambridge St. At 1035 Cambridge St., this new tenant joins more than 50 companies, including members in coworking space at Geek Offices. Geek Offices provides some of the most affordable and flexible coworking space and its location is home to 20 companies and not-for-profits. The company is part of New York-based Amplify and Amplify Learning also has offices in Brooklyn. The new office of Amplify Learning develops programs that include a method and curriculum for teaching writing to students in grades 3-12. Tech companies at 1035 Cambridge Street are providing website design, and developing mobile and smartphone applications, energy technologies, medical solutions, and cloud computing. Such firms include Genasun, Digital Loom, Sproxil and Growth Spark. Some not-for-profit and cooperative companies at 1035 include Transition House, Heading Home, Just-A-Start and Harvest Co-Op.
