HMFH Architects recently promoted 11 staff members. Promoted to senior principal * George Metzger, AIA is the president of HMFH Architects and has led the firm's practice in the design of schools, housing and community facilities. He is the past president of the Boston Society of Architects and serves on the board of directors of Community Design Resource Center (CRDC), a new organization established by the Boston Society of Architects and Boston Architectural College. * Laura Wernick, AIA, REFP, LEED AP is highly engaged in the national dialogue on architecture and education. She was named the Council for Educational Facility Planners International Northeast Regional Planner of the Year in 2004. She is currently serving as the Boston Society of Architects Public Policy commissioner Promoted to principal * Lori Cowles, AIA, LEED AP has more than 15 years of professional experience. She joined HMFH Architects in 1995 and has been project manager for many of the firm's educational projects. * Philip Lewis, AIA, LEED AP has been with HMFH for 27 years. He currently serves as the vice chair on the Designer Selection Board for the Mass. Department of Housing and Community Development. Promoted to senior associate * Deborah Collins, AIA is a member of HMFH's design committee. She has been with HMFH for more than 17 years, serving as project architect for many independent school and college and university projects. * Chin Lin, AIA, LEED AP joined HMFH in 2000 and is currently the firm's director of green resources. He has overseen LEED and Mass CHPS certification processes, secured over $2.5 million in "green schools" grants and utility rebates for clients, and incorporated photovoltaics, daylight harvesting, wastewater reuse, and wind power into many notable projects. * Steven Millington, AIA has been with HMFH for more than 22 years and has been a project manager on many educational projects. * Vasillios Valaes, AIA, LEED AP has been with HMFH for 20 years. * Arthur Duffy, AIA has been a key member of HMFH for 25 years, providing leadership in construction technology. Promoted to associate * Tina Stanislaski, AIA, LEED AP has been with HMFH for more than 5 years. She is an active member of the Boston Society of Architects, where she serves on the BSA educational facilities committee. * Gabriel Petino, AIA is a registered architect and currently serves as HMFH's construction administration manager. He has been with HMFH Architects for more than 9 years and brings a wide range of professional experience in the building industry to the firm.
