Hochgraf and Lloyd join Acentech
Cambridge, MA Kelsey Hochgraf and John Lloyd have joined Acentech as consultants in architectural acoustics.
Kelsey Hochgraf, AcentechHochgraf is an acoustical consultant focused on educational, performing arts, commercial, and residential projects. At Acentech, her project concentrations include architectural acoustics, mechanical systems noise and vibration control, and environmental acoustics. She is currently working on the Middlesex School recital hall, Fan Pier Parcel D condominiums, and Phillips Exeter Academy Center for Theater and Dance, among other projects.
An active classical pianist, Hochgraf uses her background in music and dance to inform her technical practice of acoustics. She presented her graduate work at a recent Acoustical Society of America national conference, and continues to pursue and apply her auralization research on 3DListening projects at Acentech. Hochgraf holds a Master of Science in Architectural Acoustics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
John Lloyd, AcentechLloyd is an acoustician providing architectural acoustics, mechanical systems noise and vibration control, and environmental acoustics consulting for educational, commercial, and residential projects. He is currently working on two large, multi-building mixed-use development projects: the Pike and Rose Development in Bethesda, MD and the Boston Garden Development in Boston.
As a 2013 Wagoner Fellowship recipient, Lloyd spent six months at the Institute for Technical Acoustics in Aachen, Germany developing a novel measurement device to investigate the variability of acoustical criteria in concert halls. A member of the Acoustical Society of America, he received a Master of Science in Architectural Acoustics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University.
