Integrated Builders completes Home Depot bulk distribution center

Westminster, MA Integrated Builders has completed construction of The Home Depot bulk distribution center, a large-scale industrial logistics facility designed to support high-volume distribution operations, efficient product movement, and long-term supply chain performance.

The new ground-up facility was developed to support The Home Depot’s regional distribution needs through truck access, interior and exterior rail service, secure site circulation, and an operationally focused building design. The project included extensive sitework, roadway and utility coordination, stormwater infrastructure, rail integration, concrete slab coordination, and building systems designed for a high-volume distribution environment.

Integrated Builders coordinated closely with Equity Industrial Partners and Seefried Industrial Properties, on behalf of The Home Depot, along with the design team, consultants, inspectors, railroad representatives, trade partners, and key project team members, including MacGregor Associates and McCarty Engineering, Inc., to deliver a facility that integrates building performance, civil infrastructure, and logistics functionality.

A defining feature of the completed facility is its integrated rail infrastructure, designed by Via Rail Engineering, Inc. The rail system extends into the building and also serves exterior distribution areas. This multimodal approach allows the facility to support product movement by both truck and rail, strengthening operational flexibility across the logistics campus.

The building also includes a 100-foot-wide interior bay designed for tractor-trailer pull-through access, allowing trucks to move through the building for easier loading, unloading, and circulation. This feature supports efficient material flow and aligns the facility’s layout with The Home Depot’s day-to-day distribution operations.

“These kinds of projects don’t come together by happenstance. They are the result of a commitment to excellence on the part of all the stakeholders involved,” said Latas Riley, director of construction at The Home Depot. “The Home Depot owes much of its success to its ability to align with great partners who possess that kind of commitment. So, thanks to all of you for a great project!”

The project required careful sequencing across site development, roadway relocation, underground utilities, drainage systems, stormwater controls, grading, rail infrastructure, and building construction. Integrated Builders also worked with the project team to implement a proactive isolated trench drain system designed to improve long-term slab durability in high-use areas.

“Thanks so much to the site team: Herb, Brian, Hunter, and the others who came and went,” said Adam Goldberg, Vice President of Construction at Seefried Properties. “This project was ridiculous, and you guys stayed calm, plowed through, and crossed the finish line. What a success!”

The completed facility reflects Integrated Builders’ ability to manage complex industrial construction projects that combine building performance, site infrastructure, logistics planning, and long-term operational needs. The Home Depot Bulk Distribution Center now provides a modern, rail-served logistics asset designed to support efficient distribution operations throughout the region.
